“Let’s return to the basics of Education and replace Indoctrination with higher levels of learning and critical thinking”

About Me

My name is Brenda Stephens. I was born in Valencia, Venezuela, and obtained my US citizenship over 28 years ago. I am a Christian and a proud American citizen who watched as socialism devastated my birth country.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Human Resources with an emphasis on Industrial Relations from Carabobo University, Valencia, Venezuela, in 1992. Later, I decided to pursue my Master’s degree in Occupational Adult Education and Human Resources Management in 1999 from Oklahoma State University (OSU).

In the same year, I was honored as the first minority woman student to earn the new Human Resources Development (HRD) Certificate, endorsed by the Oklahoma State Board of Regents for Higher Education.

By 2001, I had taught at Central Tech, Drumright, OK, and Tulsa Community College, Tulsa OK, Where I developed, implemented, and evaluated the Spanish curriculum for the Adult Education Program.

In 2005, I pursued the Bilingual Teacher Certification from Richland College, Richardson, TX, and began teaching at the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District, where I taught pre-K, 1st, and 2nd grades for 4 years.

I want to highlight that during my years as a teacher in the adult and continuing education programs, I worked full-time in various areas of human resources, except for the years I was teaching at the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District.

I bring a unique educational perspective, enhanced by my trilingual capabilities (English, Spanish, and Portuguese). As a business owner, my entrepreneurial spirit shines as the President and CEO of a successful moving labor business servicing the Emerald Coast, and I am an elected Civil Service Board Member for Santa Rosa County.

I am involved in community service, holding positions on the SRC Republican Executive Committee as a Precinct Commmitteewoman. I serve as the Chairwoman of the Naturalization USCIS for Santa Rosa County and as an Authorized Voter Registration Representative for the SRC REC. My leadership role in Moms for Liberty SRC underscores my commitment to parental rights and educational integrity.
